U.S. President Barack Obama telephoned the leaders of Libya and Egypt to discuss their cooperation in the field of security after the bloody attack against the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and the demonstrations in Cairo against the embassy.
Obama called on Libya to cooperate with Washington to be arrested and brought to justice the killers of the American Chris Stevens and three other U.S. citizens killed in Benghazi and insisted that Egypt respects its commitments regarding the protection of representative Americans and their employees.
The United States “remain vigilant”: “We must ensure that we continue to put pressure on al-Qaeda and its affiliates in other parts of the world, such as North Africa and the Middle East. This is something I am determined to do,” said Obama . “Today was a tough day. Sometimes things are very hard – the president said – but if we are steadfast, not give up, do not become cynical, but we continue to be realistic about how the changes are hard, but always maintaining a sense of ideals and a sense of the proposal, the end time something good will happen. ”
PENTAGON WAR SHIPS MOVE 2 TO COAST – The Pentagon is moving two warships to the Libyan coast. The American press reports quoting some administration sources.
